After a 20-year career with the Town of Scituate, Mary Kennedy Dean decided to capitalize on her longtime interest in real estate. Since the purchase of her first home (through Jack Conway), Mary developed a keen interest in the local real estate market. Watching the real estate market from 1980-2000 was fascinating, but with the introduction of real estate presence on the internet as a marketing tools in the new century, real estate became her passion! She followed the trends up and down with a click of her mouse. When Mary retired from town employment, she completed her licensing requirements at the Jack Conway Real Estate School, passed her exam and started reporting to Jack Conway’s office at 80 Front St., Scituate on Nov. 1, 2007. In spite of her short time in this challenging market, Mary had her first sale under agreement on Dec. 27, 2007. She followed up that sale with three more and has one under agreement this year!
Born and brought up in Scituate, Mary brings a lot of insider knowledge to her customers. Due to her town employment background, she is also familiar with town services, zoning regulations, town bylaws, etc. She was elected to the Board of Commissioner of the Scituate Housing Authority in April 2006, and was elected chair in November 2008. Mary also served for one year on the Community Preservation Committee. She is an active member of the Friends of St. Frances Cabrini. She and her husband, Marc, raised three children in Scituate, all three of whom have flourished with their Scituate schools education, in college and in employment.
